This year's convention topics will cover everything from tips for settlement from a defense perspective to an ethics session on candor before the tribunal. In between you'll hear 2 panels of judges talk about issues of concern to both the bench and bar, tips on putting your iPad to use in the courtroom (bring yours!), a luncheon presentation by Sen. Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

Rehoboth Beach, DE

The room block is SOLD OUT but it's possible that the Atlantic Sands still has rooms available.

A small block of rooms are available at the Atlantic Sands Hotel at a rate of $185 + tax/night. To make your reservation (before May 28), call 800-422-0600 or 302-227-2511 and refer to booking ID code 6718 and specify that you are part of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association convention. The hotel cannot guarantee a specific room type, but they will note your request.

The limited number of parking spaces DTLA had at the hotel are SOLD OUT. The alternative to parking at the hotel is to park on the street. The two streets that border the hotel are Baltimore Avenue and Maryland Avenue. Meters on Baltimore Ave need to be fed every 3 hours, and the meters on Maryland Ave need to be fed every 12 hours. All meters on those streets are $1.50 per hour. Credit cards are no longer accepted at any parking meters so you'll either need change or use the option described in the next paragraph.

This season, Rehoboth Beach will be introducing Pay-by-Phone. To use the new Parkmobile system, customers may pre-register or register on site for FREE at www.parkmobile.com. Once registered, customers can use a mobile app, the Internet, or call toll-free, 1-877-727-5758 to pay for parking. After setting up the account, customers can immediately start using the system with their registered mobile phone. Customers can also select the option to receive text message alerts and reminders.

All cancellation and refund requests must be received in writing (email is okay). Refund requests received by 6/10/2013 will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 6/11/2011 and 6/21/2013, will be subject to a 50% refund. Cancellations received on 6/22/2013 or after are not eligible for refunds. Registrations may be transferred; contact DTLA for more information. Attendees who are not able to attend the live seminar may watch a recording of the seminar at the DTLA office for no additional charge; contact DTLA for more information and to schedule.
